An occasional update from our Sixth Form students on their experience at Wye

Apprenticeship Support and knowledge

Many thanks to Chelsea from ASK (Apprenticeship Support and knowledge) for so much information about apprenticeships and particularly degree apprenticeships. Now I know how to go about working for a top company like Bentley or ASOS, going to university at the same time, getting a degree, being paid, and an alsmost guaranteed job... sounds amazing.

HSBC presentation about budgeting and university finance

"Many thanks to Teresa and Ben from HSBC for their presentation about budgeting and university finance. It made the idea of taking a loan for three years much less concerning and made us aware that we need to keep being nice to mum & dad and maybe get a part-time job at university."

Cambridge University, Queens College Visit

Today, I and a number of selected students had the privilege to take part in a visit to Cambridge University, Queens College to not only tour the campus but also to attend educational talks teaching about the requirements for being accepted to these schools, and the importance and benefits of attending uni.
