The majority of our students use school transport as provided by Kent County Council.
There are also minibus and taxi routes assigned individually by Kent County Council to families who qualify for school transport but live off the main bus routes.
We have safe walking routes into school, and bike storage facilities, for students and staff who live locally.
We have a staff car park on site and we have a visitor and parent parking area. We encourage parents to drive their children to school only when they have no alternative and ask them to use the school car park rather than park in the village.
Temporary WS2 Bus Diversion
Due to the closure of Hythe Road next week, Chalkwell have advised they will need to make a temporary change to the WS2 service.
The start time will remain the same and the service will operate the normal route along Hythe Road as far as Hunter Road.
It will then loop along Hunter Road, Hunter Avenue, Twelve Acres, Breadlands Road, Mill View, Osbourne Road, back onto Hunter Road and travel back along Hythe Road and the A28 direct to Wye School.
- Passengers who normally board at Church Road and Waterside will need to make their way to the Mill View stop.
- Passengers who normally board along Kennington Road will need to use the WS3 service.
- Passengers who normally board along the Street in Kennington should use the WS1 service.
This will take effect from Monday 7th July and remain in force until further notice. Please see attached map showing the diversion route.
