Wye Heritage Tree Trail

Over the last year Wye School students and Ms Capriotti have been working with The Conservation Volunteers in Wye. The culmination of their work can be seen from Friday 7th October when the tree trail they developed is launched. A number of our students will attend the opening to celebrate this collaboration and the resulting trial. Here is an extract from Our Place Wye which gives details of the trail and a link.

The Wye Heritage Tree Trail was created with the help of Wye School students. The trail will be launched at 09.30 on Friday 7th October, at the WW1 Wye Airfield memorial stone, Churchfield Green. TCV will then lead a gentle walk around Wye to look at some of the village's amazing heritage trees. Everybody is welcome to join the walk. Wye's tree trail is accessible and it meanders around the churchyard, green and High Street of this historic village. TCV produced the tree trails as a legacy of the Kent Heritage Trees project, funded by the Heritage Lottery. This project celebrates and promotes the value of heritage trees, and aims to inspire local communities to learn about the wonder of their local heritage trees and woodlands.’
