Consultation on Admission Arrangements

The Board of Governors of Wye School are proposing a change to the over subscription criteria of the Admissions Policy.  In accordance with the Department for Education’s School Admissions Code and Kent County Council, Wye School are currently consulting with parents, the Local Authority and other interested parties regarding proposed changes to our Admission Arrangements for September 2022.

 

Wye School are proposing to add an additional category for the provision of a school place for children of Permanent Members of Staff and is set out below:-

 

Priority will be given to children of staff who have either a) been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made, and/or b) the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

The Consultation will take place for a six-week period between Monday 12 October 2020 and Monday 23 November 2020.  All comments received by the end of this period will be taken into consideration before finalising the admission arrangements for September 2022.
