Our U13s came away with a 3-2 victory in a great game with Simon Langtonโs development team. Tries were shared by Andrew, Josh and Rupert with player of the match going to Henry for turning over countless scrums. The team put in a great performance with four players playing their first ever game of competitive rugby.
๐ ๐๐ช๐๐จ๐๐๐ฎ - ๐14๐จ: ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ฃ 46-17 ๐๐ฎ๐
Our team of Year 9s came up against a strong Simon Langton side losing 46-17 but playing well throughout. Tries for Wye came from James and George. Special mentions also go to Monty and Jack who starred in their first ever games with lots of great tackles and carries respectively. An excellent effort from all, particularly when considering there were many regular players unavailable due to illness.
๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฎ- ๐15๐จ: ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ฃ 56-5 ๐๐ฎ๐
Year 10 faced a huge challenge on Wednesday, playing against a full strength Simon Langton side. They showed incredible resilience throughout the hour, despite losing 56-5. Wye did manage to test the oppostion defence for much of the second half, without the reward the phases of play they produced deserved. Some excellent carries came from Alfred, Joe, Alfie, Lucas and Barnaby and player of the match Ben scored a well deserved try for Wye.
Thank you to Simon Langton for a hugely enjoyable and beneficial week of rugby. ๐
