Six Year 12s from Wye School today exhibited some of their artwork in the White Drawing Room of 10 Downing Street. The Prime Minister, the Education Secretary and the Schools Minister all took time to talk to each student about their work and the Prime Minister referred to it as 'brilliant' and the Education Secretary as 'wonderful' in their speeches to a reception held in the State Rooms afterwards.

Mr Magee is extremely proud of how well the Year 12s represented the school and spoke with confidence about their pieces. Dame Sally Coates, the leader of secondary schools in United Learning, watched how our students handled themselves and told Mr Magee 'your students were really impressive.'

After the reception ended the Wye group were given a private tour of the building and met Larry the cat. We also got to sit on a chair worth £250,000, which is not something any of us had done before.
